The Consorcio de Transportes de Madrid is responsible for the coordinated programming for passengers transport services (metro, light rail, urban buses and suburban buses of Madrid City and other municipalities of the Madrid Region), as well as the processing of authorizations and concessions.

For such purpose, the CRTM performs its duties in the following areas:

• A definition programing of the service offer and monitoring and the evolution of demand analysis.

• Inspection, monitoring and overseeing fulfilment of obligations of quality indicators.

• Design of maps, schedules, notices, deviations, changes, etc., and their signalling in stations / stops or vehicles.

• A coordinated analysis and development with transport operators and other institutions and organisations for promotion and actions related to accessibility.
