Planning, studies and projects
The CRTM, as responsible authority for the planning of public transport infrastructures and services in the Madrid Region, carries out among others the following functions:

Design, reporting and monitoring of previous studies, feasibility studies, preliminary plans and projects about infrastructure and public transport services.

Coordination by agreements with those organizations that develop performance programs that affect directly on infrastructure and public transport services in the Madrid Region, such as the Sustainable & Mobility Strategic Plan of the Madrid Region, sustainable urban mobility plans, workplace transport plans, urban planning procedures and land use planning.

Carrying out different studies, surveys and fieldwork aimed to a better understanding of the mobility, as well as to collaboration with international projects.
