In accordance with Royal Decree-Law 11/2022, of June 25 and Royal Decree-Law 14/2022, of August 1, a reduction (*) of 50% is applied to the rates of 30-day Passes and 30% on 10-trip tickets and Blue Card. This discount will be valid for a limited period from September 1 to December 31, 2022 (both inclusive).
It will not apply to tickets purchased before September 1, 2022. It will not be used for trips made after January 31, 2023.
Annual Passes, single tickets and Tourist tickets are excluded from this measure.
(*) Discounts financed by the Ministry of Transport, Mobility and Urban Agenda, the Community of Madrid and other administrations adhering to the Madrid Regional Transport Consortium.
This is a transport ticket loaded in a contactless card with similar features to those of the Public Transport Card. It is addressed to citizens registered in the municipality of Madrid who meet certain age, disability characteristics or incomes limitations. Beneficiaries can apply for the Blue Card through the Madrid City Council. The Blue Card is only valid to be used in Metro services (Zone A), EMT urban buses, Madrid Light Rail (ML1), bus line 500 (Autobuses Prisei), and lines 601 and 602 (Transportes Alacuber).

The Blue Card application must be in person and by previous appointment at Citizen Offices of Línea Madrid.
Once the request is completed, the Public Transport Blue Card will be mailed free of charge directly to home.
Any incident that may arise with the Blue Card will be solved in the Management Office, except those at EMT, Parla and Valdemoro. For avoiding unnecessary waits at the Management Offices, please make your appointment at the following link: tarjetatransportepublico.crtm.es
To use the new Blue Card, users have to charge the transport ticket in the automatic machines of the Madrid Metro stations (zone A), authorized tobacconist's shops and App Tarjeta Transporte.

In case of loss or theft, the user may request the locking of his/her card and a duplicate of it. The application can be processed by one of this two ways:
- In person, going to any of the Management Offices of the Public Transport Card with balance recovery service. It is essential that he/she comes with the ID. At the request of the interested party, the Consorcio Regional de Transportes de Madrid will block the use of the card, once the status and balance of tickets contained in the lost or stolen card have been checking. The CRTM will issue a new card with the tickets contained on the missing card within the following five days.
If the user does not have tickets or waives the ones contained at the stolen card or lost, the card will be delivered to him on the spot.
- Online, at tarjetatransportepublico.crtm.es, clicking on the "Robo/extravío sin recuperación de saldo" button. In this case, the card will be sent without charge to the user's address.
The two-year warranty period provides the user with the right to free replacement of damaged card, as long as the defects do not arise due to its misuse.
After the warranty period the user may request a new card. The issuance of the new card due to damage will cost EUR 6.00.
