The Consorcio Regional de Transportes de Madrid collaborates actively in the successful development of many activities that take place outdoors in the region and that impact on the mobility of the city, with special transportation plans. Just this Sunday, September 22, will be the race "Madrid runs through Madrid", with a distance of 10 km from Avenida de Menéndez Pelayo and, after passing through Puerta de Alcalá, Plaza de Cibeles, Gran Vía, Ópera, Plaza Mayor, Puerta del Sol, Paseo del Prado, finished in the Retiro Park.

During sporting event, be temporarily amended the itinerary of 25 urban lines of EMT, although the Consorcio Regional de Transportes de Madrid recommended to go to any point of travel by public transport, particularly in Metro. To do this, has published a specific map that marks the route of the race and the nearest and easy access to key points in the event.

Thus, is recommended to go to the exit point from the Ibiza Underground, as well as on arrival. Seven other Metro stations allow to reach different points along the route easily and quickly. They are  Retiro, Banco de España, Gran Vía, Ópera, Sol, Sevilla and Atocha.

Regarding EMT lines affected by the race are: 1, 2, 3, 5, 9, 10, 14, 15, 19, 20, 27, 28, 34, 37, 45, 46, 50, 51 , 52, 53, 74, 146, 148, 150 and Airport Express.

A total of 10,000 athletes are expected to cover the circumferential distance of the race, in which, for the first time, runners can participate in handbike and wheelchairs. Will begin at 9:30 am and its duration is expected near the hour and a half.

The Consorcio Regional de Transportes de Madrid has also collaborated with MAPOMA Sports Association, organizer of the event, in the dissemination of the same through the usual channels of public transport within the concept of this regional organization to participate actively in the events Madrid to make a Region attractive and active for citizens and visitors, offering solutions to the incidents that these actions may have on public transport.

Even the Consorcio Regional de Transportes de Madrid has become an official partner of the event and as such awarded at the end of it one of the prizes.
