The Community improves transport in Móstoles with redesigning urban supply lines and new bus shelters

The Community of Madrid has made several improvements in the public transport bus, urban and interurban, in Móstoles, consisting of redesigning urban lines and the installation of new bus shelters in the Avenida de Portugal. These actions have been filed today by the Deputy Minister of Transport, Infrastructure and Housing of the Community of Madrid, Borja Carabante, who underlined that directly benefit 3,700 local residents who use these services.

The regional manager has come together with the Mayor of the municipality, Daniel Ortiz, the area of ​​the Avenida de Portugal where they have installed three new shelters forming an intermodal area, allowing buses to stop without creating traffic incidents. These three stops congregate 20 bus lines, 18 suburban and 2 urban lines, totaling 568 expeditions each direction on weekdays.

So far, in this area there was a double stop and two posts that have been modified by Enthoven shelters, which feature the latest advances in real-time traveler, accessibility and comfort. "It's a significant improvement -said the Deputy Minister- for the nearly 4,000 daily passengers using these three stops and has been accompanied by a reorganization of the lines very positive influence on road traffic in the area, as well as improving accessibility for passengers and their wait conditions ".

Shuttle line 3
Moreover, the regional official also knew firsthand the new shuttle service or 3 urban line of Móstoles (Polígono Industrial Las Nieves-Móstoles Pradillo). In this case, a subline was created between the Soto Train Station and MetroSur Station Pradillo, which will increase the number of shipments in the stretch and times of peak demand.

According Carabante explained, this shuttle runs through an urban area that needed strengthening and improving connections with other modes of transport, conceiving the public transport system in a more integrated way. In this sense, confirmed the need to work together among all administrations and stakeholders involved in public transport.

Carabante took the opportunity to congratulate the mayor of Móstoles by his new responsibility as a member of the Board of the Consorcio Regional de Transportes de Madrid, representing the municipalities, and encouraged him to continue working for the public transport in their locality and the throughout the Community.
