For the second year, the Consorcio Regional de Transportes de Madrid announces the Promotion Awards for Public Transport and Sustainable Mobility. This institution, responsible for organizing the event, has opened the deadline for nominations, which will run until September 10.

These awards are intended to recognize actions in favor of public transport and sustainable mobility that have been carried out by individuals, companies and institutions in the area of the Community of Madrid during the past year.

The awards are divided into two categories. On the one hand, be granted an award to workers of any area of the operating companies, whether drivers, inspectors, watchmen or technical, among many others, who in their daily work make the public transport system in Madrid a world reference. On the other hand, the recognition will go to those companies and institutions that have taken measures the promotion of public transport and sustainable mobility, such as schools, universities, hospitals, municipalities, etc..

For the evaluation of the proposals submitted by companies and institutions will take into account factors such as the scope or impact of the measure, the innovative character of the same in terms of the ability to attract users to public transport, or the degree of implementation of the measure.

Applications must be submitted on email premioscrtm2013@crtm.es or the Register of the headquarters of the Consorcio Regional de Transportes de Madrid. The contest rules are attached to this news.
