The Consorcio Regional de Transportes de Madrid will reinforce the Metro service on lines 1, 2 and 4 the next day, October 12 on the occasion of the parade commemorating Armed Forces Day national holiday.

The overall reinforcement will be an average increase of 30% of trains, reaching 67% for line 2. In line 1, the service will be reinforced with 4 trains from 9:00 hours, assuming an increase in the allocation of 27%. At that same time, in line 2 will be reinforced with 6 trains service, representing an increase of 67%. Line 4 will include two trains from 9:00 to 11:00, and from that time the booster is 4 trains, which will mean an increase of 20% and 40% of the service respectively.

In all cases, the increase is maintained until the reduction in demand would reduce the trains in circulation. Thus, the Consorcio Regional de Transportes de Madrid made ​​available to users until 14 trains more than a normal holiday, in the three lines affected by the passage of the parade.

Also, in order to expand passenger capacity drive, Renfe railway plans to use double-ended on the stretch of rail tunnel linking the Atocha station Chamartin Station.
