The Adolfo Suárez Madrid-Barajas Airport is located twelve km northeast of the City of Madrid, being the main Spanish airport in terms of passenger traffic and cargo as well as the aircraft operations. It is the European airport having very good connections with nearly all Spanish airports besides the largest number of connections with Latin America. The Metro line 8, EMT urban and suburban bus lines link these terminals to Madrid downtown. A free shuttle bus service called "Transit Bus" (Bus Tránsito) connects with each other the airport terminals: T1, T2, T3 and T4.
